Circa 17th Century - Cornwall, England. This extremely rare Gnome began life as a miniature, no bigger than a person's finger. He was found lodged in the rafters of a 300 year old cottage being renovated in Cornwall, England (it is the custom in many countries to keep a Gnome somewhere in the house or garden for good luck). We believe he was made in England as a one-of-a-kind Gnome by an artist, as we have never seen another like him. He could possibly be as old as the cottage! We are delighted to offer a larger version of this truly unique and interesting garden decoration. He is glazed inside and out so may live outside all year round. Handmade in the USA.
