Kimmel Gnomes is working toward building an animal sanctuary with emphasis on providing lifetime sanctuary for hopeless cats on death row at the local shelter. We've had a great many setbacks in recent years due to the economy but still we move forward. We have never been in a position where our loyal customers can visit with us when they come to the Black Hills and that is also something we would like to do at the sanctuary.

We currently house 17 rescue cats. They live indoors with us and have 3 outdoor enclosures they can access 24/7. We love them with all our heart. They will never know hunger, loneliness or human cruelty again. We donate and dedicate our lives freely to do this work.

We would like to take this opportunity to Thank all our customers for continuing to support us over the years and in doing so move us closer to our goal. Here are some of our beloved kitties enjoying their new forever home with us.

Midnight. Also know as Baby Boy Midnight because he was a tiny feral kitten when we got him. Now he’s a large beautiful kitty loved and cared for.

Burt. We found him tearing up his cage at the shelter. He knew where he was and he knew he had to get out somehow. He did and we love him with all our heart and soul.

Big Boy Hooper. Black cats are the first to be euthanized in shelters. A true black cat that any witch would pay a kings ransom for What a sweetheart he is.

Olive Oil. Shes part domestic cat and part bob cat. An absolute delight and can she jump....

Quint. Abandoned, alone, now loved and cared for.
